Our doctors only prescribe evidence-based medicine to patients that have been scientifically and medically proven to aid recovery from conditions which have been identified in any test results carried out on you.
Meet our GPs in Melbourne
At Essence Healthcare, we have three resident GPs whose expertise covers a wide range of health services.
The medical centre was set up by Dr. Lucas de Siqueira and Dr. Isabela dos Anjos Siqueira to provide outstanding medical care for those who need it.
Dr. Lucas is a RACGP fellow General Practioner who specialises in cosmetic medicine and skin cancer. He moved to Melbourne in 2012 and quickly established himself as a leader in these areas. In addition to providing patients with outstanding healthcare services, he is a Key Opinion Leader for Envogue Skin and a lead trainer for the Aesthetics and Skin Institute
Dr. Isabela, or simply just Bela, as she likes to be called, is a consultant gynaecologist whose mastery revolves around advanced hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery. She also has a special interest in sexual health and fertility.
Like Dr. Lucas, she moved to Melbourne in 2012. She is known for her empathetic, caring, and compassionate nature and for providing patients with exceptional customer service.
Working with Dr. Lucas and Dr. Isabela are two other doctors – Dr. Abdulla Anouri and Dr Hester Freeman.
Dr. Alnouri is an experienced GP who moved to Australia from Manchester in the UK over 10 years ago. He is a big advocate of preventative medicine and health practices through exercise and diet and prioritising mental health. His areas of expertise include diabetes and the management of other chronic diseases, as well as peptide and hormonal therapy, particularly those that incorporate functional and integrative medicine.
Dr. Hester also moved from the UK, arriving in Australia in 2012. She excels at providing preventative health care and continuity of care, with particular emphasis on menopause management, chronic disease management, pediatrics, travel medicine, and care for older people. She is also accredited to assist local public hospitals with shared antenatal care and perform medical termination of pregnancy.

What do you need for your appointment?
It doesn’t matter if you live in South Melbourne, the Melbourne CBD, or any other part of the city. If you need to see any of our doctors or practice nurses for a medical emergency or a regular check-up, we will do our best to see you as soon as possible.
Our clinic is conveniently located on Wests Road in Maribyrnong. Here is what you should bring with you for your first appointment.
- Medicare card and other medical records
- Photo ID
- List of medical conditions and medications
- Details of previous medical practice
Our opening hours are 9 am to 6 pm on Mondays to Fridays. Please arrive 10 minutes before your first appointment to fill out the necessary paperwork, such as a new patient registration form.
Fees:
Like many practices in Melbourne, Essence Healthcare is a mixed billing clinic. So, you will incur fees for consultations and treatments if you choose to make an appointment with us.
That said, Bulk Billing is available for healthcare and Medicare (NOT MEDICARE!) card holders, pensioner card holders, DVA card holders, and children under the age of 16.
